I have this buddy, Jeff, who lives in California and I just love his e-mails. He writes me the best stuff. So instead of giving my take on the Ahnold win, I will just paste what he wrote to me on the issue.

This, on his choice for governor:

Well, I actually did it! I just punched a chad for “The Grope-inator.” Not that I’m SOOOO enthused with Arnold–there is a much, much better conservative candidate (and I would have voted for that guy if I were truly voting my conscience)–but Arnie can actually win for Governor. (Although, I do have kind of a dark wish that the tax ‘n’ spend Democrat will win. You see, if even more businesses leave the state and more people move out, maybe then home prices will fall to the level that I can afford!)

And, in the afterglow, I received this:

Have you ever gotten so drunk that you had sex with someone you shouldn’t have had sex with and you said to yourself, “Holy Shit…what did I just do???!!!”

Er…don’t answer that! Anyway…we kinda feel like that out here…we’re all realizing that we just elected Arnold Governator!!!

Interesting article on the expanding (no pun intended) market of goods for the obese.
Being a woman of large stature (read: fat ass) myself, I think it is high time that overweight people were considered more than second class citizens. While I think it is good that retailers are getting wiser to the needs of the overweight, I can’t help but wonder when the medical community is going to catch up.
