Getting Healthier

Wednesday, November 16th, 2005

So far, as of today, I have lost 33.6 pounds. That is a great victory, but I am noticing other tangible health benefits as well.

First, when I began working out at the gym a month ago, I could hardly make it through 30 minutes on the elliptical machine. I now can easily go 60 minutes and now continue my cardio on another machine for an additional 10-30 minutes.

Secondly, my average heart rate on the elliptical was around 155-159 while working out. Now, at the same intensity, my average heart rate is 145.

Lastly, my blood pressure on September 14, the day I started my diet plan was 144/88. When the reading was taken Monday, it was a healthy 102/64.

I can’t wait to see how much better things get with the next 30 pounds gone!

Things I Look Forward To

Monday, November 14th, 2005

These are some of the things that I look forward to as a result of losing weight.

1. No more plus size clothes.
2. No more seat belt extenders.
3. Endless energy.
4. Bike riding.
5. Hiking.
6. Being around for my kid and grandkids.
7. Swimsuit shopping.
8. Better sex!
9. Little black dress.
10.New career.

Obviously, there are a million reasons to get thinner, but these are my top ten.
