Getting Healthier
Wednesday, November 16th, 2005So far, as of today, I have lost 33.6 pounds. That is a great victory, but I am noticing other tangible health benefits as well.
First, when I began working out at the gym a month ago, I could hardly make it through 30 minutes on the elliptical machine. I now can easily go 60 minutes and now continue my cardio on another machine for an additional 10-30 minutes.
Secondly, my average heart rate on the elliptical was around 155-159 while working out. Now, at the same intensity, my average heart rate is 145.
Lastly, my blood pressure on September 14, the day I started my diet plan was 144/88. When the reading was taken Monday, it was a healthy 102/64.
I can’t wait to see how much better things get with the next 30 pounds gone!
