Update

Monday, December 8th, 2003

Hi all! I am just avoiding a little work and decided to update.

The weekend was fun. RMBB 2.75 was fun. I was really surprised at the eclectic grouping of bloggers and blog fans. I met some really interesting people and had some nice conversations. Among my favorites were: Tim, Zomby Boy, Matt and Allie, Walter, and Andy. Of course I had the most handsome blogger in the world on my arm, so how could I possibly have a bad time. I am really looking forward to RMBB III!

The rest of the weekend I spent doing womanly chores, (read: cleaning, laundry and shopping).

Matt bought Pirates of the Caribbean which was really enjoyable. I just lurve that Orlando Bloom. And of course, Johnny Depp was flawless as Capitan Jack Sparrow. It is so nice to have dinner at home and enjoy a movie.

Other than that, I am just hoping that my commute home isn’t too terrible today. The snow is coming down with a vengeance and I fear I will have a long, long drive ahead of me. Matt has promised me a hot meal and covered parking to come home to. Thanks sweetie!

Bad Dreams

I had a conversation with my husband today. It started out with dealing with the business stuff of being divorced. Then, in an accusatory tone, he says, “Hey, did you let Christian watch a scary movie or play some weird video game last night?”

I bristled at this, of course. Our son is not yet 3 years old, and everyone who knows me knows that I am very choosy about what I allow him to watch and what is being said around him. So I said hotly, “No! Why?!”

He says, “Because, last night he awoke a couple of times screaming, ‘Zelda! Zelda!’”

I burst into laughter…

Zelda is Matt’s cat, and if anyone should be having nightmares, it is Zelda of Christian.

Bad Blogger!

I know, I know. I have been a naughty girl and haven’t blogged forever. But, here is an entry as promised to Matt and Terry.

Thanksgiving was a success; Matt, Andy, and Andy’s lovely wife Nicky and daughter Fiona all seemed to enjoy our time together. The turkey seemed to take forever, but turned out really well. It was only my third attempt ever at cooking for such a “big” event so I was pretty proud of myself. I was only disappointed in my pumpkin pie as I would have liked the crust to be a little less doughy in the middle.

My 31st birthday was Sunday, the 30th and my love, Matt, took me to breakfast, shopping at Old Navy, and then in the evening we went to see Master and Commander and then ate dinner at P.F. Changs. All in all it was a lovely birthday. My son gave me a really cute birthday card. He ran into the restaurant where I was meeting his dad to pick him up and waved the card and said, “For you!!! For you birthday!!!” Then he said, “You go to Chuck and Cheese for you birthday?” (He thinks that everyone goes there for their birthday. You are not allowed to go there if it isn’t your birthday and if you go, it is automatically your birthday.)

I seem to have much to look forward to in December.

1.RMBB 2.75 is tomorrow night, my first time attending as an actual blogger.
2. My son turns 3 on December 20. YAY!
3. My company Christmas party is here. Matt gets to be my date. YAY!
4. Matt and I are going to Raleigh, NC for Christmas and I will get to meet his family. YAY! (not only that, but it will be my first time to see the ocean, ever.)

I will update again soon.
