Yikes!!!

Gosh, I just realized how long it has been since I posted anything! Life has been moving at a quick pace and I feel like I am really having to dig in to hold on.

I have seen lots of movies since my last post. The Human Stain, The Matrix: Revolutions, Love Actually, and Finding Nemo. There are probably more but those are the ones that come to mind easily.

The Human Stain was a pretty good movie, very rich characters, but there was a key mistake, I believe, in the casting. If you have seen it, maybe you know of what I speak. If not, I won’t ruin it for you.

The third in the series of The Matrix films was visually spectacular, but I guess this sort of Sci Fi isn’t really my thing. I have never really enjoyed Keanu Reeves and I just thought the movie really ended weird.

Love Actually was the best of the crop, definitely a date movie to beat all date movies. It really perked up my spirits and Hugh Grant was impeccable as Britains PM. The only thing Matt and I both noticed was that there were a couple of unresolved issues in the plot, and I would have done the ending differently.

Finding Nemo was brought to Matt’s house by my son and was a really cute, cute Disney Film. With PIXAR I don’t know how I can watch another type of animated film and enjoy it at all. It just seemed soooo real and the characters larger than life with Ellen Degeneres as Dory being the show stopper.

Beyond that, I have been enjoying the company of Matt immensely, and I am looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with him and another couple. I am cooking for the event and I am really excited to show off my prowess in the kitchen.

I will let you know how it goes and also post a review of Master and Commander.

Where have you been young lady?

I thought I should write something, since it has been awhile. So here is an update on my pathetic life.

I am going to see, The Human Stain, with Matt this evening. I am hoping that my love for the actors that are in this film override the ick factor of seeing Nicole Kidman and Anthony Hopkins in bed together.

I am looking for a second job still. I think that I have found a good opportunity doing chores for the elderly. The pay isn’t great but fine for a second job.

I am coming down with a cold I fear. I am in hopes that it isn’t the flu. I know I should have gotten my shot by now and hope that I am not going to pay for it in the end. It just sucks particularly at this time because I get to have my boy this weekend and hate to be sick for that.

Other than that, life just seems to be careening along and I am feeling like it is tough to be along for the ride.
